Friendly social dancing - Lindy Hop, Charleston, Balboa and Blues - to authentic music of the 1920s, 30s and 40s. All abilities welcome, no partner or experience needed. Every Thursday at the Boathouse, Ouseburn Regeneration Centre, Spillers Quay NE6 1BU (right on the river below the Free Trade Inn - ample parking). Just a few quid in the hat for the best value dance in town!

Drop-in lesson starts at 8pm. Social dancing from 9pm. £4 on the door for the lesson. £2 after 9pm.

 Or just come to the social from 9pm and take advantage of the teachers in the FREE half-hour beginners' corner, when they will show you the basics... Suitable for complete beginners or those who want to work on their basics and connection.

Swing Tyne will be moving to Summerhill Pavilion (Summerhill Bowling Club, Winchester Terrace, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE4 6EH) from Thursday 1st March 2012.
